Crisis in the Legal Profession: Who is at risk & what can we do about our Profession's struggle with Depression, Addiction & Anxiety
Attorneys, judges, and law students that suffer from chemical addictions or mental health issues
on the surface look like you or I, or anyone we work with. Even the most successful and
accomplished attorneys can be active (or recovering) addicts, or be significantly depressed; and
we may not know it at first glance!
This presentation discusses the findings of a recent study on lawyers’, providing a useful understanding of substance use disorders, addictions, and mental health disorders in the workplace, and how you can help recognize co-workers whom are afflicted with these problems.
This presentation is from the DCBA Eleventh Hour PRMCLE Event
Speaker: Chelsy Castro from the Lawyers' Assistance Program
