The Illinois Supreme Court has authorized a statewide court user survey of the circuit courts. A survey form will ask court users (attorneys, litigants, witnesses, jurors, media and members of the public) to provide information about their personal experiences with the local court system. Because the survey is designed to assess the view of the court’s users, judges and employees of the Chief Judge are excluded from participating.

The survey will be used to assess the quality of services provided by the court. Such matters may include user’s views on how well they were treated, how easily they were able to obtain information, whether they felt they were heard in court, whether they perceived the end result to be fair, and other subjects. The survey forms will be available in English, Spanish and Polish.

Surveys will be available at the entrance and each floor of the JOF as well as the Jury Commission, Probation Department, Law Library, Field Courts, Clerk’s Office, State’s Attorney lobby and Public Defender’s office starting Monday, April 13th through April 30th. Designated staff and volunteers will be available to hand out and collect surveys each Monday and Tuesday during the survey period.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
